Place me behind prison walls – walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far into the ground. There is a possibility that in some way or another I may be able to escape. But stand me on that floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can I get out of that circle? No. Never. Karl G. Maeser

Letter Home -2
I consider it a good rule for letter-writing to leave unmentioned what the recipient already knows, and instead tell him something new.

X-ray to the horizon
One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.
In your eyes a cosmos of stars
The greatness of art is not to find what is common but what is unique. Isaac Bashevis Singer

The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance. Aristotle

Cosmic chess.
“Sometimes, when one is moving silently through such an utterly desolate landscape, an overwhelming hallucination can make one feel that oneself, as an individual human being, is slowly being unraveled. The surrounding space is so vast that it becomes increasingly difficult to keep a balanced grip on one’s own being. The mind swells out to fill the entire landscape, becoming so diffuse in the process that one loses the ability to keep it fastened to the physical self. The sun would rise from the eastern horizon, and cut it’s way across the empty sky, and sink below the western horizon. This was the only perceptible change in our surroundings. And in the movement of the sun, I felt something I hardly know how to name: some huge, cosmic love.”

Unhappy rider
Start with a public domain print from the American Civil War 1861-65 and add both practical and computer effects and this is the result hopefully releasing new energy. Sadly in production the head got chopped something I can’t fix, never intended, but I can live with .
I generally find that comparison is the fast track to unhappiness. No one ever compares themselves to someone else and comes out even. Nine times out of ten, we compare ourselves to people who are somehow better than us and end up feeling more inadequate. Jack Canfield
